Sponsorship Opportunities
Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge is seeking sponsorship opportunities for its 30th Annual gala, Celebrate the Family for 2024. We will recognize diverse families from our community at this very special event. Typically, these families have overcome severe adversity or contributed through their volunteer efforts to strengthen the community. We host this event which celebrates these families while raising funds for the agency. The contributions received from this event will help support Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge and its mission to counsel and strengthen individuals and families improving their quality of life. Financial sponsorships support the direct services to children, individuals and families in the metropolitan area. This event has been redesigned to create the ultimate experience for all guests. We will put your company and brand in the forefront (as a sponsor) in an effort to build our community through the services we offer. Ultimately, we want you to become a sponsor! We guarantee an amazing event and experience for all who attend, a positive branding opportunity for your company- and a benefit to the community. Each sponsor receives community recognition in print media, event program, website, facebook page, agency annual report and newsletter. We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3, #72-0491100 and all contributions are tax deductible.

Special Family Award Nominations
Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge will honor exceptional families from our community who excel in one or more of the following areas: overcoming adversity, community service, personal faith or the highest levels of continued love, caring and respect within their family unit.
The Special Family Awards are presented to outstanding families who strengthen family life and the community in which they live. Families today continue to undergo change and are becoming increasingly diverse. There is no “ideal” family. The traditional nuclear family of husband, wife and one or more children now includes multi-generational families, blended families, childless couples, single-parent families and people living alone.
The “Special Family Award” recognizes the importance of healthy families, whatever the structure, and their role in caring for each other as individuals, as family members, and as members of our community.
Selected families will be honored at our 30th Annual Gala, Celebrate the Family to be held Thursday, November 14, 2024 at The Executive Center, 250 S. Foster Drive, La 70806.
A “Special Family” exhibits some or all of the following characteristics:
Communicates and listens Affirms and supports one another
Teaches respect for others Develops a sense of trust
Respects cultural diversity Shares responsibility
Teaches right from Wrong Strong sense of family values
Has a balance of interaction Has a shared religious core
Respects the privacy of others Values service to the community
Fosters family time & conversation Resolves conflict in a healthy manner
Has a sense of play and humor
Nominating Procedure:
Nomination form must be completed in full and may be type written, word processed or neatly printed.
Nomination form must be signed by nominator.
Two references should be included if possible. References may be contacted by the agency selection committee to help in the selection process.
Nominations must be returned to Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge, 4727 Revere Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808, and postmarked no later than Friday, August 30, 2024.
