Summer Jam 2019

 

Join Us!

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge will host Summer Jam at the 4200 Gus Young Community Park from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. This HIV Awareness event will feature activities for the entire family, including BREC on the Geaux, East Baton Rouge Parish Library Mobile Unit, live music, back to school giveaways, free HIV testing, and lots of great food! The contributions and donations will help support people living with HIV/AIDS in our community and transitioning them from the point of testing positive to optimum health outcomes. For more information please call Tommy Franklin at 225-927-9810.

 

 

 
Big Hat & Sweet Tea

The mission of Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge is to counsel and strengthen individuals and families improving their quality of life. The services we provide at a low or no cost to the community include counseling, parenting classes, domestic abuse intervention, child custody evaluations and mediation, supervised visitation, family safe haven, Free HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis C testing. We have partnered with the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS Positive Action 4 Woman program to educate and advocate the expansion of opportunities for HIV/STI/HCV testing, treatment/care, community outreach, health education, awareness and information sharing.  
     

The Big Hat and Sweet Tea is an event you don’t want to miss. No hat is too small or too big. Come one, come all. There will be Food, Giveaways, Door prizes, HIV Testing and Education.

Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge receives funding from the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation to offer counseling and mental health treatment on a sliding fee scale. For more information or to schedule an appointment please call 225-924-0123.  Services are offered Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
