Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge has been committed to strengthening and enhancing the lives of children, adolescents, and families through direct services and positive social actions for over forty years. Programs are provided to more than 14,000 families and individuals each year.

The staff and Board of Directors is pleased to welcome our new Executive Director, Rene Taylor. Ms. Taylor was previously Vice President at Family Service of Greater New Orleans. Her experience and talents will be a tremendous asset to our organization.

Mark your Calendars!  Our first Spring fundraising event, Sapphires 'N Spurs, will be held on May 9, 2008 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the LSU Parker Coliseum.  We are so pleased to announce that Scott Rogers, host of The Around Town Show, will be the Master of Ceremonies.  Pull on your boots, grab the kids and come join us for a western evening.  The fun will include pony rides, a farm animal petting area, a mechanical bull, the band "Slewfoot and Cary B", dancing, roping contests, a live auction, a delicious barbeque menu and Kleinpeter Farms Dairy new icecream!   Click here to read more and view our live auction items!.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in and/or attended our 14th annual Celebrate the Family in which we  honored five outstanding families in our community.   The gala attracted a capacity attendance whom enjoyed cusine featuring the "Around the World" theme.   Congratulations to the first prize winner of the "$10,000 Fantasy Trip" Raffle, Mr. Tom Kirkpatrick!   Mr. Kirkpatrick is planning a trip to Russia!  Please click here to read more about the gala and download forms.
